Bassaleg. The Friendly Fox has started selling Cask Ale. After a trial period sellingTimothy Taylor Landlord and Fuller's London Pride, they have dropped Pride and now only sell Landlord

Blackwood. Rhymey Brewery's new Pub, the Westgate Bar opened at the end of October, selling 3 Rhymney Cask ales.

Little Mill. The Halfway has been extensively refurbished and has been re-badged as the Little Jockey. Work is still ongoing and currently no food is available

Newport. The Cellar door has also been refurbished by some of the regulars, giving it a cleaner overall look.

The Carpenters now has a guest beer on alongside Felinfoel Double Dragon

The Lamb on Bridge has re-opened (again!) under new ownership, and is selling 2 St Austell beers (Tribute & Proper Job) plus Bath Gem. Very competitively priced.

The Tiny Rebel Bar in High street will close permanently on March 31st, blaming low turnover and footfall. Don't suppose only accepting card payments helped!

St Brides. The Lighthouse closed some time ago, and there is no sign it will re-open as a pub.
