Situated by the railway station, this pub is often the first port of call for visitors arriving in Abergavenny, or the last stop before leaving and it's very handy if your train is late! Accommodation available. It is Grade II listed for its special interest as a mid 19th century hotel of classical design associated with the coming of the railway to Abergavenny. After a period of closure and an ongoing full refurbishment, the pub reopened in 2023 with a single handpump. Changed hands in early 2025 and currently does not offer real ale.
