Advertisement Manager  Required

Ray Pickthall, our Advertisement Manager, is having to give up the position for family reasons following BN11 in December 2019 and we are looking for a replacement for him.

The job entails maintaining the current database of past, present & potential future advertisers and contacting them well in advance of the next Magazine to see if they wish to take space to advertise their businesses & most of them do.

The Advertisement Manager keeps the Editor & other members of the team informed, on a continuous basis, about progress of advertising in the next issue in order that that Editor can reserve the necessary space in the Magazine.

The Ad Manager also monitors all copy & artwork for advertisements as they come in, forwarding it to the Editor or to Neil Warnock, who can produce decent artwork based upon the advertisers rough draft.

The Ad manager also needs to chase outstanding advertising copy & artwork to ensure it arrives in plenty of time for deadline.  Once all advertisements are in for the next issue the Manager will provide details to Malcolm James, the Treasurer to enable him to send out invoices.

This is a very interesting & rewarding job, ideal for a retired member who has time during the working day to make the necessary contacts with potential advertisers. Telephone & email facilities are essential. Reasonable expenses will be paid. Ray will provide the full database made up from issue 1 & remain available to provide necessary training & advice.
